You may have noticed the Lady Nelson and The Riddoch Arts & Cultural Centre at the main corner all lit up in red this week, and there's a good reason.
It's all part of a volunteer initiative to bring awareness to dyslexia, through the Light it Red for Dyslexia campaign.
The colour red was chosen because for many children with dyslexia, the fear of red crosses and comments on their schoolwork was gut-wrenching. This campaign is about taking the power of that colour back, which influenced the name of the Code REaD Dyslexia Network.
These city icons will be lit up red until October 12th as part of the campaign.
